Lila Brooks Wilkerson

1929-2008

Lila Brooks Wilkerson, 78, of Yorktown Texas, died March 11, 2008, at Cuero Community Hospital in Cuero, Texas, after a lengthy illness. Visitation is 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb. Graveside Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Mars Hill Cemetery in the Mars Hill community. The Rev. Alan Dearing will officiate.

Mrs. Wilkerson was born March 18, 1929, in Dennison, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Horace and Bertha Mae Miller Brooks.

She was a homemaker and was a member of Ft. Worth Grace Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, John E. Wilkerson of Yorktown, Texas; two daughters, Lila Susan Kelly of Odessa, Texas, and Stacy Lynn Barth of Yorktown; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
