“Aunt Rubye” White of Magnolia, died March 25, 2008, at her
residence. Visitation is 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Fernwood Baptist
Church in Fernwood and 9 a.m. Saturday till services there at 11 a.m,
with the Rev. Wayne Hall officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn
Cemetery in Summit.
Mrs. White was born in Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late
Charlie and Virgie Pritchard Tutor. She was retired and was a member
of Fernwood Baptist Church. She volunteered with Community Hospices
of America and was a wonderful friend, mother and grandmother, known
and loved by all. She will be sadly missed.
Survivors include a son, Greg and wife Sue Ray of Magnolia; two
daughters, Judy Spring and Ginger and husband “Stump” Smith, all of
Magnolia; nine grandchildren, Brittney Ray, Hunter Ray, Angela
McKenzie, Randy Spring, Terry Spring, Lane Thames, Michael Thames,
Doug Thames and Sonya Thibodeaux; 11 great-grandchildren, Alana
Cupit, Marlie McKenzie, Lance Spring, Addie Spring, Amy Williams,
Casey Spring, Brandon Thames, Logan Thames, Hunter Thames, Hailey
Thibodeaux and Madison Thibodeaux; one great-great-grandchild,
Elijah Williams; and special nieces and nephews, Jimmy and Joyce Dye
and Larry and Ruth Tutor.
Pallbearers will be Randy Spring, Terry Spring, Lane Thames, Michael
Thames, Doug Thames and B.B. Thibodeaux. Honorary pallbearers will
be Hunter Ray, Brian Smith, Stuart Middleton and Rob McKenzie.
