Betty Branch Newman, 68, of Magnolia, died Feb. 16, 2007, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb.
Visitation will from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Jones Family Funeral Services and continues Monday from noon until services there at 2 p.m. The Rev. Willie Westmoreland and Bishop Ray Reynolds will officiate. Burial will follow in Terry’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Magnolia.
Mrs. Newman was born on Nov. 21, 1938, in Amite County to Alton Gene Branch and Pauline McKewlveen Branch.
She was a homemaker, a very loving wife,, mother and grandmother. She was also a member of The Greater St. Stephens Church in Magnolia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ellis Newman; one son, Delbert Wayne Newman; and one sister-in-law, Betty Branch.
Survivors include two daughters, Delores Elaine Newman and her special friend Vince Monroe Guy Sr. of Magnolia, and Pamela Annette Newman and her special friend Billy Joe Cavesa of Mount Hermon, La.; two brothers, James Branch and his wife Betty, and Alton Jesse Branch, all of McComb; one sister, Alma Nobles of McComb; 12 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
