John S. McDougall

1919-2008

John S. McDougall, 88, of Lady Lake, Fla., died there March 28, 2008, at Hospice of Lady Lake. Visitation is 2 p.m. Sunday at Mount Gilead Primitive Baptist Church until services there at 3 p.m. Elder Luke Addison will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with military honors. Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. McDougall was born Oct. 17, 1919, in Theresa, N.Y., to Clarence and Winifred Young McDougall. He was a retired Senior Master Sergeant with the U.S Air Force, having served more than 20 years, and was a veteran of World War II and Korea.

Mr. McDougall was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Cyril, Ted and Frank McDougall.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Roberta McDougall of Lady Lake; a son, Carl McDougall and wife Jeannette of Summit; a daughter, Kathy McGuffee and husband Don of Alexandria, La.; one close relative, Ruth McDougall of Massena, N.Y.; one brother in-law, five sister in-laws and numerous nieces, nephews and family friends.
