Johnnie Ruth Love

1935-2006

Johnnie Ruth Love, 71, of McComb, died Dec. 26, 2006, at her residence.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 tonight at Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb, and at noon Thursday until services there at 2:30 p.m. Dr. David Millican and the Rev. Bob Lynch will officiate. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery.

Mrs. Love was born August 10, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Calvin Lloyd Watts and the late Ruth Bell Smith Watts.

Mrs. Love was a member of South McComb Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club and the Nutty Buddies. She was active in church activities and served on various committees. She was retired from Kellwood.

Survivors include her husband of 15 years, C.H. “P.K.” Love of McComb; one daughter, Delinda Martin of Metairie, La; one son, Earl Ledon Martin of Pearl; three stepchildren and their spouses, Randall and Rhonda Love of Summit, Jill Johns and Bo of Smithdale, and Debbie Moak and Matt of Brandon; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby Watts and Audrey, and Kerry and Deanna Watts, all of Brookhaven; one sister and brother-in-law, Pattie Lofton Holland and Delton of McCall Creek; two grandchildren and their spouses, Justin Glen Arnold and Kelly of Kenner, La, and Chris Case and Beth of Brookhaven; three great-grandchildren, Colby and Chaise Kelly of Kenner, La, and Haley Case of Brookhaven; six step-grandchildren, Aaron Alford of Memphis, Tenn., Cas Love, Angela and her husband Jason Slay, and Melissa and her husband Jamie Redahan, all of Summit, and Sara Moak and Aubry Moak, both of Brandon; two step-great-grandchildren, Casey Redahan and Austin Sinclair, both of Summit; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Justin Arnold, Cas Love, Jamie Redahan, Aaron Alford, Chris Case, Chris McCoy, Jason Slay and Aubry Moak. Honorary pallbearers will be members of The Nutty Buddies.
