Services were 3 p.m. Thursday at Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb with Dr. David Millican officiating. Burial was in Hollywood Cemetery.
Mrs. Beard was born Oct. 14, 1935, in McComb. She was the daughter of William George Widman and Martha Omega Peterson Widman.
She was the former owner and operator of Park Drive Foods for many years and a member of J.J.White Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Beard was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Murray Beard Sr.
Survivors include one son, William R. “Bill” Hamrick; two stepsons, Jeff Beard and Murray Beard Jr.; one stepdaughter, Debbie Barfield; one sister, Olga Hawley; one brother, William Colee “Sonny” Widman; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
