Bridgette Woodall Jackson

1958-2007

Bridgette Ann Woodall Jackson, 48, of Summit, died March 7, 2007, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.

Visitation is 5 to 9 tonight at Johnston Chapel United Methodist Church, and 9 a.m. Saturday until services there at 11 with the Rev. Allen Dearing officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Jackson was born Sept. 20, 1958, in Philadelphia, Miss. She was the daughter of Mozelle Green Woodall of Summit and the late Hollis Farrell “Woody” Woodall.

She was former head clerk for Entex, now CenterPoint Energy. She was an active member of Johnston Chapel United Methodist Church, where she taught the kindergarten Sunday school class. She was also the children and family coordinator, prepared all the holiday and special activities functions, and was vacation Bible school leader. She was also an active parent in the North Pike Band Boosters.

Her family said she was a generous and giving person and dedicated her life to her family and helping and volunteering for others, her church and school.

Survivors include her husband, Joe W. Jackson of Summit; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ricky Jackson of Chatawa and Joey and Melissa Jackson of Summit; two daughters and one son-in-law, Beth and Neal Edmonds and Lacey Jackson, all of Summit; her mother; one brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Jeanie Woodall of Byram; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Yvonne and Gerald Howell of McComb and Yvette and George Lott of Summit; her maternal grandmother, Grace Green of Summit; 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Jackson, Joey Jackson, Neal Edmonds, Tyler Howell, Dusty Lott and Shane Woodall. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeffrey Woodall, Zach McGehee and members of the Odds and Ends Sunday School class.
