Philip “Buddy” Daquila Jr., 75, of McComb, died Dec. 10, 2006, at his residence.
Visitation is 5 to 9 tonight at Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb and continues at 9 a.m. Wednesday until services at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Dr. David Millican and the Rev. Ted Bowlin will officiate.
Special music will be provided by Karen Hardy Fisk, and burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery.
Mr. Daquila was born July 11, 1931, in McComb. He was the son of Philip “Buck” Daquilla Sr. and Audrey Pearl Boyd Daquilla.
He was a retired conductor for Illinois Central Gulf Railroad with 38 years service.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of South McComb Baptist Church.
Mr. Daquila was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bill Daquilla.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Leach Daquila of McComb; two sons, Philip Daquila III of East St. Louis, Ill., and Chris A. Daquila of Collins; one sister, Frances Daquilla Gatlin of McComb; one sister-in-law, Ernestine Daquilla of McComb; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bill Garner, Jim Duckworth, Larry McDaniel, Jimmy Don Boyd, Ted Rayborn and Charlie Culotta.
Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Illinois Central Gulf Railroad.
