Joyce Elizabeth Hamn Billings, 86, of McComb, died Feb. 4, 2007, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb, and 9 a.m. Friday until services there at 11, with the Rev. David Billings and Dr. David Millican officiating. Burial will be in Hollywood cemetery.
Mrs. Billings was born Oct. 21, 1920, in Leakesville to Saint Elmo Hamn and Elizabeth Alethia Ball Hamn.
She was a devoted homemaker. She met her husband, Charles D. Billings, while attending Draughon's Business College in Tupelo. They were married on Feb. 6, 1939. They had been married 68 years and were living at Aston Court in McComb when she died.
Mrs. Billings was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, S.E. Hamn; and one sister, Dories Travis.
Survivors include her husband; one son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. David Billings and Margery Freeman of New York City; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Patti and Mack Brabham, and Bonnye B. Huffman, all of McComb, and Kay B. and Jeff Gray of Denham Springs, La.; eight grandchildren, Lisa Anderson and husband Dennis, and Lori Reed and husband Tom, all of Roanoke, Va., Nathan Shroyer and friend Brittany Olgiby of New Orleans, Noah Shroyer and wife Sharyl Martini of Cincinnati, Stella Billings and friend Peter Button of San Francisco, Trey Brabham and friend Eilleen Sabillon of Austin, Texas, Erika L. Brabham of McComb, and Jillian Gray of Denham Springs; five great-grandchildren, Brittany Leigh Anderson, Christa Marie Anderson, Ian Thomas Reed and Cole Harrison Reed, all of Roanoke, and Johnathan Kien Shroyer of Cincinnati; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
