Visitation is 6 to 9 tonight at Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb and 10 a.m. Saturday until services there at 1 p.m., with Dr. David Millican officiating. Burial will be in Pike Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Berberette was born Oct. 18, 1925, in Bogue Chitto. He was the son of William Berberette and Luna Holloway Berberette.
He was a retired supervisor for Great American Wirebound Box Co. in Fernwood with over 50 years service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Fernwood United Methodist Church and a member of the American Legion.
Mr. Berberette was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Clara Nadine Tullos Berberette; seven brothers, Bill, Cleon, J.T., Marvin, Herman, Aubrey and Carl Berberette; and one sister, Louise Dean.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Deana Kay and Buddy Smith of Garland, Texas; one grandson, Shea A. Smith of Garland; one sister, Lillian Williams Moore of Jackson; two sisters-in-law, Annie Jo Saucier and husband Ralph of Biloxi, and Louise Berberette of McComb; a special friend and companion, Etta Freeman of Smithdale; a special friend, Judy Freeman of Smithdale; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Smith, Kevin Berberette, Carroll Lester Smith, Bubba Dean, Ronnie Watts, Terry Smith and David Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Cameron, Clyde Coker, Jr., Winton Walker, Jewell Brock and Dick Stogner.
