Alfred E. Barron, 85, of McComb, died Feb. 7, 2007, at New Dawn Retirement Center in Ruth.
Visitation is noon to 2:45 p.m. Friday at Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. in Hollywood Cemetery, with Dr. David Millican officiating.
Mr. Barron was born Oct. 23, 1921, in Pike County to Ernest and Annie O’Quin Barron.
He was retired from Brewer Lumber Company.
Mr. Barron was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Avanelle Barron; his wife, Camille Whittington Barron; a son, Teddy J. Fleming; a brother, Richard Barron; and a sister, Velma O’Quin.
Survivors include a son, Alton Fleming of McComb; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard and Virginia Barron of Moss Point and Donald Ray and Betty Barron of Oxford; two sisters, Evelyn Williams of Niceville, Fla., and Helen Hunt of Denham Springs, La.; a special sister-in-law and her husband, Earline and Earl McCue of McComb; nine grandchildren, Chad Fleming, William Fleming and wife T.L., Wanda Kay Hodges and husband Randall Hodges Sr., Betty Carol Fleming, Tracy Lynn Roberts, Sally Strohman, Ernie Case, Melody Bessemire and Theresa Lawrence; 11 great-grandchildren, Randall Hodges Jr. and wife Stacy, April Hodges, Amberly Hodges, Jay Roberts, Kelsey Lawrence, Shannon Lawrence, B.J. Davis, Cindy Davis, Victoria Robertson, Brittany Bessemire and Lea Lea Bessemire; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
